SFF: Offbeat DJ Set [30th Anniversary]

A one-off DJ set marking 30 years of Offbeat, Sheffield's iconic indie-pop and punk institution, with a set list spanning the city's bands past and present.

Offbeat began in 1996 as an alternative to the mass-market orientated indie discos which proliferated post-Britpop, and has continued to plough its own path through the decades, in which the popularity of indie within mainstream culture has lurched up and down and up again.

A mainstay of Sheffield’s student union and the local music scene, we’re delighted to bring Offbeat down to the Showroom Café Bar following a double bill of 00s music nostalgia. Expect to hear the best of Sheffield bands past and present as well as the indie tunes that have had Sheffield dancing for the past 30 years.
