Accessibility Policy

Our commitment to accessibility and inclusion

At Showroom Work Station, we are committed to making our spaces welcoming and accessible to everyone. We strive to ensure that all our visitors, regardless of their access needs, can enjoy our cinema, café bar, and creative business spaces comfortably and with dignity.

Whether you're here to watch a film, attend an event, or work in our building, we're here to help. Below is an overview of the facilities and support we offer.

Accessibility Features

We offer a range of features designed to support diverse access needs across our cinema and Work Station:

  • Wheelchair Access: All public areas are wheelchair accessible via lifts and ramps. Our cinema has wheelchair spaces in every screen, and staff are always happy to assist with entry and seating.
  • Accessible Toilets: There are accessible toilets throughout the building, including both the cinema and Work Station areas.
  • Subtitled Screenings: We regularly programme subtitled films for D/deaf and hard of hearing audiences. These screenings are clearly marked on our website and listings.
  • Autism-Friendly Screenings: These relaxed screenings are designed to be more comfortable for neurodiverse audiences. The lights are left slightly up, the volume is lowered, and moving around or making noise during the film is welcome.
  • Dementia-Friendly Screenings: Our Early Doors programme features classic films in a supportive, welcoming environment for people living with dementia and their companions. These screenings include free tea or coffee and biscuits.
  • Hearing Loop System: A hearing loop is available at our Box Office.
  • Quiet Spaces: If you need a moment of calm during your visit, our staff can direct you to a quieter area.

Support for Disabled Patrons

We want your visit to be as easy and enjoyable as possible. Here's how we support our guests with additional needs:

  • Wheelchair Spaces: Available in all cinema screens – you can book these online or by contacting the Box Office.
  • Companion/Carer Tickets: We offer free tickets for companions or carers accompanying visitors who require assistance. We also accept recognised access schemes such as the CEA Card – simply let us know when booking.
  • Blue Badge Parking: Limited on-street Blue Badge parking is available on Paternoster Row and Brown Street, just outside the building. Additional accessible parking is available nearby at Q-Park Charles Street.
  • Booking Support: If you’d prefer to book over the phone or have any questions about your access needs before purchasing a ticket, our friendly Box Office team will be happy to assist.
  • Assistance from Staff: Our team is always happy to help. If you'd like to discuss your access requirements before your visit, please feel free to contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Service Animals

We welcome all assistance dogs and service animals in our public spaces, including the cinema, café bar, and meeting areas. If your animal needs anything specific during your visit, such as water or space to rest, please let a member of staff know.

Website Accessibility

We are working towards ensuring our website is accessible to as many users as possible, including people using screen readers or assistive technologies. If you encounter any issues accessing our online content, please let us know so we can support you and improve our service.
