Showroom Work Station Ticketing & Booking Policy

This is the Ticketing and Booking Policy of Sheffield Media and Exhibition Centre (SMEC, Charity No.1002020).
 
At Showroom Work Station, we want to make your cinema experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. This policy outlines the terms of ticket purchases, refunds, event changes, and available discounts, ensuring transparency and fairness for all our customers.

2. Ticket Purchase 

  • Tickets can be purchased online, in person, or via phone, subject to availability. 
  • Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards and any other methods specified at the time of booking. 
  • The Management reserves the right to refuse admission or ask a customer to leave the premises without refund if necessary. 
  • All customers must comply with British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) age restrictions. Proof of age may be required. 
  • Customers under the required age for "15" and "18" certificate films will not be admitted. 
  • Children under 12 years old are not permitted after 7 PM unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. 
  • Babes in arms (under 1 year old) are permitted for "U", "PG", and "12A" films but may be asked to leave if they cause disruption. 
  • Weekly Kino Bambino screenings are specifically for parents/guardians with babes in arms and may include "15"-rated films. 
  • Concession tickets are available for students, children under 15, senior citizens, and benefit claimants. Proof of eligibility is required. 
  • The use of sound or video recording equipment, cameras, or mobile phones is strictly prohibited inside auditoriums. 

3. Refund & Exchange Policy 

  • Refunds are only issued in exceptional circumstances, such as: 
  • Film cancellations 
  • Technical failures 
  • Emergency building closures 
  • In all other cases, tickets cannot be refunded but may be exchanged for an alternative screening at the Manager’s discretion. 
  • Online Bookings: Once tickets have been purchased, we are unable to cancel the order or offer refunds. 

4. Event Cancellations 

  • We aim to ensure that screenings run as advertised, but in the event of unexpected circumstances, we reserve the right to: 
  • Cancel a performance 
  • Substitute an alternative film 
  • Change the screening time 
  • If a performance is cancelled or rescheduled, ticket holders will be offered: 
  • A full refund OR a replacement ticket for the same film at a later date 

5. Discounts & Promotions 

  • Promotional codes, discounts, and membership offers must be used at the time of purchase and cannot be applied retrospectively. 
  • Reduced-price tickets for children under 15 apply only to "U", "PG", and "12A" certificate films
  • Some special promotions and discounts may have specific eligibility criteria or expiry dates—please check individual terms before booking.
