What surfaces when a new generation goes digging through the film archives and what do they choose to bring back to the screen?
Earlier this year, participants of Showroom’s BFI Academy: Film Curation and Archiving courses spent a week discovering film curation, visiting film archives and studios. The group learned about how archives operate throughout the year, and worked in teams to curate their own collections of shorts and archive films.
We're excited to present their final work as part of Sheffield Film Festival: a compilation of short films, screening alongside two brand-new shorts made by young people on the theme of Protest.
