An immersive journey through the New York City music scene of the early 2000s. A new generation kick-started a musical rebirth for New York that reverberated all the way around the world.

Intro: The screening will introduced by Showroom Programmer, Isobel Harrop, who will give a short presentation titled ‘You’re Not from New York City, You’re from Rotherham’, exploring the influence of Sheffield’s 80s music scene on New York’s ‘indie sleaze’ era, and how musicians like The Strokes left their mark on the Sheffield music scene of the 00s.
