One to One Development Trust is an award-winning Yorkshire arts charity working across film, games and immersive technology. Judi and Andy also direct Dreaming Methods, an internationally recognised immersive studio creating original narrative-led experiences across virtual reality, mixed reality and interactive media.
This special PLAY Festival programme brings together works produced through their interconnected creative practice, including collaborations with communities, young people and creative partners.
REVEALED: THE PIT CAMP Virtual Reality 360 film (Approx 12 mins)
The tradition of storytelling around a campfire takes on a new twist through this 360 film of struggle, resilience, and camaraderie drawing on archive film and objects of the time. Revealed – The Pit Camp pays homage to the sacrifices miners and their families made during the 1984/85 Miners Strike and the impact of this on the communities of Yorkshire, UK.
The Miners' Strike of 1984-85 was a defining moment in the history of British coal mining and the biggest industrial dispute in post-war Britain. As the audience explore the pit camp, they are guided by a female narrator and visual triggers that reveal a story of reflection, unity, and hope.

THE ABANDONED LIBRARY Virtual Reality 360 film (Approx 14mins)
On the flooded east coast of a near-future Northern England, a young poet named CJ joins an environmental clean-up operation and encounters a mysterious, malfunctioning AI Librarian.
Blending immersive storytelling, poetry and atmospheric world-building, The Abandoned Library explores climate breakdown, displacement, memory and artificial intelligence. Words contributed by children and families during creative workshops are woven into the landscape, allowing real hopes for the environment to grow through its imagined world.
