The Hunger Games
In a dystopian future, Katniss Everdeen voluntarily takes her younger sister's place in the Hunger Games, a televised fight to the death in which two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem compete.
“Welcome, welcome! Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favour.”
Join Showroom Cinema and Film Girls Galore on Sunday 28 June for a nostalgic day celebrating one of our much-loved 2010 franchises, The Hunger Games.
Ahead of this year’s newest instalment in the franchise, Sunrise On The Reaping, let’s go back to the start of Katniss Everdeen' journey by watching all 4 films back-to-back.
Film Girls Galore is a female film club (based at Showroom Cinema) helping to make new friends in the Sheffield community by combatting loneliness and connecting women through cinema.
Expect photo opportunities, themed drinks and a whole day of fun being transported back into the world of Panem.
Both prior to and on the day, Film Girls Galore will be raising money for MediCinema - a charity which improves the wellbeing and quality of life of NHS patients and their families through the power of the shared cinema experience and the magic of film.
To read more about MediCinema, Tash (FGG) has previously written a piece for Little White Lies celebrating the charity:

A link to donate will be included via Film Girls Galore’s Instagram bio. Additionally, Hunger Games inspired friendship bracelets will be handmade for the marathon day in lieu of donations.
