Culture Shock: Festival of Fantastic Film
Running Date: Fri 1 - Sun 3 May 2026
Culture Shock is back for another weekend-long celebration of weird, wild world cinema.
Join us for the second edition of Culture Shock: Festival of Fantastic Film, a genre film festival from the makers of Celluloid Screams that celebrates classic and contemporary sci-fi, fantasy, horror, action and cult film.
Landing at Showroom from Friday 1 - Sunday 3 May 2026, the festival promises a diverse weekend of screenings and events, and a showcase of truly out-of-this-world cinema.
This year’s highlights include Julie Pacino’s Lynchian mystery I Live Here Now, Yerden Telemissov’s comical and heartfelt sci-fi tale Stinker and new 4K restorations of John Woo’s trailblazing Hong Kong action spectacle A Better Tomorrow, Guillermo del Toro’s award-winning debut feature Cronos and Estonian psychedelic sci-fi odyssey Dead Mountaineer's Hotel.
