Dementia-Friendly Screenings

From musicals to comedies, golden-age classics to brand-new hits, enjoy a friendly, accessible, and dignified trip to the cinema. Tickets just £5.

Showroom Cinema is proud to be a recognised dementia-friendly organisation, working in association with The Alzheimer’s Society, offering a regular dementia-friendly screening on the last Tuesday of each month. Screenings are open to all members of the public.

We accept the Access Card and CEA Card. All card holders receive a free ticket for an accompanying guest.

What to Expect at Dementia Friendly Screenings

  • Clear signage throughout the venue, to help navigate independently

  • Showroom Staff, trained on the ‘Dementia Friends’ initiative, on hand to aid and assist

  • Prompt start times with no ads or trailers.

  • Reduced capacity to avoid crowding.

  • Lowered film volume.

  • Unallocated seating so audiences can move in and out freely.

  • Relaxed attitude to making noise during screenings.

  • Dimmed lighting throughout the film.
