A bone-fide master of the horror genre, we’ve picked three of the best.
Kurt Russell plays wise-cracking trucker Jack Burton, in Big Trouble in Little China at 15.00, dodging demons in a bonkers action comedy. Also, Russell plays wise-cracking pilot MacReady in The Thing at 20.00, a flawless arctic horror about a shapeshifting monster that stalks the halls of a research outpost.
Sandwiched in between is ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper in They Live at 17.30. Piper plays a drifter, who discovers a pair of sunglasses that, when worn, reveal society has been taken over by aliens.
