Family Time returns on Saturday 19 September at 11am with the Disney favourite Aladdin (U). Imagine having three wishes that could all come true! Street urchin Aladdin scrapes a living with his faithful monkey Abu until a chance meeting with Princess Jasmine in the marketplace lands him in jail, and in the middle of a plot to recover a mysterious old lamp. Can he find it, and will the anarchic genie, voiced by Robin Williams, grant his wish to become a prince? Family Time screenings are relaxed, with low-level lighting and Hard of Hearing subtitles where possible; all tickets are £4.99.
On Monday 21 September at 11.15am, Toddler Kino presents A Close Shave (U). Love blossoms during Wallace and Gromit's latest venture, the Wash 'n' Go Window Cleaning Service, when they clean the windows of Wendolene Ramsbottom, little knowing that a runaway lamb named Shaun is hiding in their home. Meanwhile monstrous dog-butler Preston schemes to steal the blueprints for Wallace's Knit-o-Matic, framing poor Gromit along the way. Can Wallace clear his best friend's name and catch the real culprit?
Baby Kino follows at 12.15pm with Bad Apples (15), exclusively for parents or guardians accompanying babies under one year old. Saoirse Ronan stars as Maria, a teacher at a smart private school whose class is upended by one extremely disruptive child. After a violent altercation she takes drastic action, and is unnerved by how readily the community looks the other way. Jonatan Etzler's sharp satirical thriller questions how far we will go to preserve our sense of safety. Every ticket includes a free hot drink and 10% off café bar food.
Also on general release from Friday 18 September, Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom brings monstrous fun to Mossy Bottom Farm when the Farmer trashes the pumpkin patch and Shaun's mad-scientist fix spirals out of control. And for two days only, Friday 18 and Saturday 19 September, we are bringing back the Studio Ghibli classic Whisper of the Heart (U), from the studio behind My Neighbour Totoro and Spirited Away. It is a heart warming coming-of-age tale in which a chance encounter with a mysterious cat sends dreamer Shizuku on a quest to find her talent.
