Enjoy outback adventure, laugh with Jack Whitehall and Hayley Bennett in a relaxed, baby-friendly screening and enjoy family ticket savings, all summer long at Showroom Cinema. Here’s what’s on screens this week for children and families.
This Saturday 27 June, Family Time presents Kangaroo, a feel-good family comedy following ex-TV personality Chris Masterman, who finds himself stranded in a remote Outback town outside Alice Springs. There he meets Charlie, a resourceful 12-year-old Indigenous girl, and the two form an unlikely friendship as they work together to rescue and rehabilitate orphaned joeys.
Set against the stunning landscapes of the remote Aussie outback community, it's a funny, warm-hearted story about connection and second chances.
Our Family Time strand screens every Saturday at 11am. Enjoy films suitable for ages 5+ for in a relaxed setting, with low-level lighting and Hard of Hearing subtitles where possible.
These screenings are cheaper than ever, at just £4.50 a ticket as part of the government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme. We also drop prices on Toddler Kino (now £3.50 a ticket) and family group tickets - £13 for one adult and one child, or £21.50 for two adults and two children – until 1 September 2026.
Our Baby Kino strand is the space for new parents to catch the latest releases without needing a babysitter. Running each Monday at 12.15, they include pram parking and a complimentary hot drink with each ticket.
On Monday 29 June, Baby Kino screens Virginia Woolf's Night & Day. Based on Virginia Woolf’s funniest novel, Night & Day is an un-romantic comedy about the passionate astronomer, Katharine Hilbery who does everything she can to avoid romantic love and marriage. Her bold challenge to Edwardian patriarchy is set against the suffragette movement and advances in science and technology. Fun and contemporary in tone, this refreshing film showcases a star-studded ensemble of humorous performances.
Children attending Family Time and Baby Kino can also enjoy a small drink and popcorn combo for just £4.50, while adults can save 10% off their food bill in the café bar when they present their ticket.
