May 2026 Bank Holiday and Half Term: What’s on at Showroom
With musicals, anime and so much more, spend your May half term at the cinema!
Great news to start with this half term! Family Time tickets have just got cheaper. From this Saturday, Family Time tickets are now only £4.99.
Showroom’s Family Time programme screens a feature for ages 5+ every Saturday at 11am. These relaxed screenings feature a varied programme of family favourites, with low-level lighting and, where possible, Hard of Hearing subtitles to ensure a comfortable experience for all.
For younger children, Showroom has Toddler Kino. Aimed at ages 1–4, these Monday morning screenings are a gentle introduction to cinema. Films are carefully selected to run between 30–60 minutes to suit shorter attention spans. Tickets are just £3.99, and a pram park is available.
For our half term screenings, Family Time on Saturday 23 May and Toddler Kino on Monday 25 May bring us Bluey – Playdates with Friends big screen episode selection.
On Bank Holiday Monday, new parents can enjoy a special screening of new, northern rom-com Finding Emily at 12.15pm. Finally, a love story with Mancunian edge! We know it can be hard to find time for yourself with a baby. Baby Kino is a dedicated weekly screening for parents with children under one, showing the latest releases. With softer sound and low lighting for little ears, plus a large pram park, the atmosphere is designed to help parents feel at ease while feeding and moving around. Each ticket includes a hot drink.
On Saturday 30 May, we launch our partnership with Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust on the ‘Our World’ programme. The programme encourages young people to ‘go wild’ throughout June, watching films about nature, animals, and taking care of our planet to inspire outdoor adventures of their own. The first screening is David Attenborough’s Ocean, which will be accompanied by crafts in the Showroom Cafe.
Throughout half term, we continue to screen The Sheep Detectives. Take advantage of our family ticket offer: families of four can see a new release for £27.50, or an adult and child for just £15. Don't forget the treats! Families attending Toddler Kino and Family Time can take advantage of discounts in the Café Bar, while children can get a small drink and popcorn combo for £4.50.
