Two Sheffield collaborations and a Korean girlband grace our screens this week.
As DocFest takes over Showroom Cinema from 10 to 15 June, we welcome two family delights on Monday 15 June. Little ones will love this edition of Toddler Kino: CBeebies’ Hamza Yassin joins the programme with Hamza Loves Animals at 11.15am. Discover the wonders of the animal kingdom together in a relaxed, playful environment, then get your face painted before you leave. Tickets are just £3.99 per person.
At 12.15pm, Baby Kino presents Bugboy. A shy Greek teenager with misaligned eyes finds an unlikely confidant in a cricket named Isabella, slowly discovering where he belongs through the smallest of connections. Beautifully tender and gently funny, it makes for a truly special afternoon at the cinema. Baby Kino is a weekly, relaxed screening exclusively for new parents and babies under one year old. It runs every week at Showroom and is a brilliant way to keep up with new releases in good company.
Later this week, our Family Time Programme collaborates with Sheffield Adventure Film Festival to inspire young minds through a curated collection of short films. One of the most popular events from our 2025 Family Time programme, this year’s selection celebrates pioneering athletes seeking equality, nature and family connection through climbing, biking, surfing and more. Family Time screens a feature for ages 5+ every Saturday at 11am, with tickets now just £4.99. These relaxed screenings include low-level lighting and, where possible, hard of hearing subtitles, to make sure every family feels welcome.
K-Pop Demon Hunters arrives at Showroom for three special sing-along sessions: Tuesday 16 June at 12.15pm, Wednesday 17 June at 4pm, and Thursday 18 June at 10am. Seal the Honmoon and sing along with HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys as they battle demons and deliver absolute bops in equal measure. It is a joyful, feel-good watch for all ages. All tickets are just £4.99.
Don’t forget our family ticket offer: families of four can see a new release for £27.50, or an adult and child for just £15. Children attending Family Time and Toddler Kino can also enjoy a small drink and popcorn combo for £4.50.
