This year we've launched an amazing partnership with our friends at the Sheffield Hallam Creative Industries Institute and our CINE26 membership scheme, showcasing the students artwork and creating unique film-inspired stickers to take home.
Our monthly CINE26 Picks will be selected by our Programming team, highlighting the most unmissable film for 16-26 year olds each month. Members can get their usual £6 tickets as well as a limited-edition sticker on arrival.
This month we're looking at the dark side of the web with two CINE26 Pick choices: The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act, indie web series turned big screen phenomenon screening from 4 June, and Backrooms, the highly anticipated new horror inspired by the classic creepypasta screening from 29 May.
Special surprise stickers for Backrooms have been designed by the Showroom team - so you'll have to enter the Backrooms yourself to find out what you're going to get...
However, The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act was the perfect fit for our new collaboration; the success of this independent animation is certainly an inspiration to these young artists who are setting out on their careers; it may not be long until we catch their own work on the big screen! We received 9 vibrant submissions from a range of students, making it difficult to decide which to send to print.
In the end we selected Armani Brown's sticker, which was inspired by the play on words of 'bug' in computing to create a bold slogan sticker that's both cute and creepy - like The Amazing Digital Circus itself. To get yours, just book a CINE26 ticket to The Amazing Digital Circus at Showroom!
