Baby-Friendly Film Screenings at Showroom

Becoming a new parent is a daunting experience in so many ways. Outside of the lack of sleep and overwhelming amount of poo talk, it can be hard to find time to do the things you love while adapting to your new life. Parenthood changes a lot, but enjoying great film shouldn’t be one of them.
 
To help support families with new babies, Showroom Cinema runs Baby Kino, a weekly film screening designed exclusively for parents or guardians and their babies under one. 
 
We welcome mums, dads, grandparents and all guardians of new babies, every Monday at 12pm to enjoy a new film in a relaxed, baby-friendly environment.   

Audiences can expect comfortable sound levels for little ones, dedicated storage space for pushchairs and the chance to meet other grown ups in the same boat. To help make the most of your social, Baby Kino tickets include a complimentary hot drink after the film, as well as 10% off food in our café bar. 

Our in-house programming team selects a diverse slate of the latest releases for Baby Kino screenings, from the hits you’ve heard of to lesser-known gems. Available to book now, we have two brand-new titles.

H is for Hawk (Monday 26 January), Claire Foy (Wolf Hall, The Crown) stars as writer Helen MacDonald in the much-anticipated adaptation of her award-winning 2014 memoir. Cambridge academic Helen (Foy) is stricken with grief after the unexpected loss of her father (Brendan Gleeson). To recover, she retreats from the human world and turns to nature instead.   

On Monday 16 February, Wuthering Heights will have you swooning. Emerald Fennell’s take on the Brontë classic stars Margot Robbie as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, whose forbidden passion for one another turns from romantic to intoxicating in an epic tale of lust, love and madness. 

Showroom Cinema is a breastfeeding-friendly space, so you can feed your baby whenever and however you need to.

Please note: Baby Kino is exclusively for parents or guardians with babies under one year old and a free Baby Kino membership card is required for admission. Registration is easy. Simply complete a form (available on our website and at Box Office) then bring it Box Office with your child’s Birth Certificate as proof of age. Once registered, you are welcome to book onto any Baby Kino screening.
