Life in Modern Britain - BFI Study Day

Life in Modern Britain: migration, identity, and democracy - a KS3 Citizenship and History cross-curricular study day.

Join us for a brand-new study session for KS3 and KS4 students.

From political propaganda to more personal accounts of the times, these sessions will take students on a journey through modern Britain from WWII to more recent times, showcasing a range of archive films from the BFI National Archive and Regional Film Archives. These films highlight the perspectives of people who shaped modern Britain, exploring diverse identities, experiences, and voices.

Students will engage with guided learning activities that place these films in the context of cross-curricular themes including migration, identity, democracy, and media, supporting relevant learning outcomes.
