Please Note: This Baby Kino screening is exclusively for parents or guardians accompanying babies aged under one year old.
A shy Greek teenager with misaligned eyes finds an unlikely confidant in a cricket named Isabella, discovering where he belongs through the smallest of connections.
While navigating his parents' divorce and the everyday uncertainties of growing up, George retreats into a world most of us overlook. What emerges is full of quiet intimacy. We're drawn close as he watches Isabella with real fascination, the footage capturing something of the loving inner world of a tiny creature. Closer still is his relationship with his father, whose openness and vulnerability quietly linger.
At a time when so much documentary attention turns to the big picture, Bugboy gently refocuses on the fragile beauty of small, often unnoticed lives. The creatures closest to the ground sometimes see the world most clearly. A warm coming-of-age story, ideal for audiences of all ages.
