More About Strideout + Keri Wallace

Strideout is a women's only running group that was established over 15 years ago in Wisewood, Sheffield. In that time it has expanded to 6 locations around the city- meeting across the week for qualified volunteer lead runs. They have supported running goals from couch to 5km to Ultra running plans all while keeping to their underlying principle of inclusivity. No one is left behind; all are welcome for a chatty run which is great for mental and physical health. They are out on the streets through dark winter evenings and hit the many Sheffield trails when the nights get brighter. Several leaders have just completed Fell leading courses to expand this offer and get more women out on the hills

Keri Wallace is Founder of Girls on Hills trail running and author of the guidebook Running Challenges. She is also a qualified mountain leader and has a PhD in neurobiology. In 2024, Keri ran the West Highland Way a solo unsupported in winter, running through 17h of darkness and setting an FKT in the process.
